Picture dictionary - who is who?
A big and busy restaurant has got a great number of staff, people who are working there every day. Every person has his/her own tasks, responsibilities and liabilities which depend on their jobs. Have a look at the common jobs in restaurant business:

LET'S IMAGINE A BIG RESTAURANT ...
The food and beverage manager is responsible for the restaurant and the kitchen.
Three people report directly to him. They are called:
the headwaiter the bar manager and the headchef
The headwaiter managers
the winewaiters and the other waiters and waitresses.
The bar manager is responsible for the bar staff.
The head chef managers the kitchens and under him comes:
the assistant or the sous chef. Then any other chefs report to the sous chef.
Finally the kitchen porters come at the bottom of that reporting line.
